On a team you want to belong and fit in. Sometimes efforts are made to hang out with each other. To get to know each other and to get along better. On many teams that I've been on, we have sleepovers in order to hang out and get to know people on our team better. There are many reasons for this. To become friends with the other people on your team, Lessen conflict for the future, but most of all I think to become one and be able to work together to the fullest.
Everyone on a team has one goal, whether that's to make it to state, do well, have fun, or all of those. Whatever it is your team is working together to reach that goal. You get to know each other better so you can push each other harder, help each other out and succeed together. It's hard when you don't know everyone well enough on your team because tensions rise and little things build up on each other. This results in conflict and harsh feelings toward one another. Resulting in the opposite of building up your team and working together.
Not having friends on your team can be hard. Life definitely seems easier when you have friends on your team that you can talk to and share whatever you want with. It's not good to keep all your feelings and opinions inside. Sharing with someone who is going through the exact same thing you are can be very relieving and encouraging. Knowing that you can share with them builds trust and confidence in your team. Trusting each other is important in building your relationship with your team. that can only result in a a better team that can work closer and harder together. You'll be able to accomplish more and be a better team if you form that relationship with everyone.
