“I AM”
I am me and not who you are.
I have a voice even if you don’t know who I am or can even hear me. My voice
comes as a step or a movement, as music booms through the speakers. I am the
one who doesn’t listen or replies, but thinks and plans, what comes next?
I am an artist.
You see me on a stage, with
bright lights and people around. I match everyone on stage, blending into the
crowd. I try not to forget who I am.
I like to get dressed up. Put on my uniform and
do my hair, so I can look good up there.
I am a performer.
I may not know the right
words, but everything comes out clearly when I move. I get nervous when I speak,
as words do not come easily, but move fluently when I dance. I practice and
learn. I am an athlete who works hard,
creative and shy. An artist who only sees perfection and can only get better.
On the outside I may seem quiet but the performer in me screams.
I am graceful.
I push myself to always do
better, to always hit harder, to always learn from someone else. I always have
fun while I’m dancing. Dance gives me confidence. We are all different and
special in our own ways, bringing something new and unique. I practice and learn. So much progress has been made,
why stop now? Never give up.
I am dedicated.
When push comes to shove I
may get stressed out, but in the end I’m proud of what I’ve done. Even if
mistakes were made I know how to fix them now. I’m happy when I dance. Dance
brings me out of my shell, lets me express myself in a different way. I feel
free when I dance, no restrictions, nothing holding me back. I’m free to be me.
I AM ME.
